Gyro is the brainchild of two highschool friends, Nic (left) and Nic (right). What started off as a simple app for their friends and family, became their mission to bring the best local restaurants, not only to their school but, to the whole of South Africa.

Gyro, meaning ‘around’ in Greek was what came of that mission. Aimed at bringing South Africans the best their neighbourhood has to offer from all ‘around’, while at the same time giving the restaurants the platform to keep building their brand in a digital age. It has put the local kitchen on a digital platform so that all South Africans can “bring it home”.
